DEIB Guiding Principles

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

At Viable Insights, we are committed to living and acting by the principles of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) in all aspects of our work — both internally and externally. In fact, we believe our actions outside of our organization are a reflection of what is happening inside.

Our commitment looks and feels like ongoing reflection, intentionality, and an openness to growth as individuals and as a collective. We actively work towards creating an environment where every team member and partner feels valued, respected, and encouraged to contribute with their whole person.

Our DEIB commitment is rooted in these guiding principles:

Intentional Inclusion and Reflection. We actively seek and welcome diverse perspectives, embedding them into our policies, processes, and projects. By continuously reflecting on our practices, we strive for our work to be both inclusive and purposefully designed — and pause, examine, and adjust when something feels out of alignment.

Cultivating a Culture of Humility. We create a culture where mistakes are viewed as learning opportunities. Open, honest dialogue is encouraged to support growth and accountability, especially as we recognize DEIB as an ongoing and ever-evolving practice.

Elevating Systemically Excluded Voices. We actively prioritize voices that are often systemically excluded, ensuring they shape our decisions and solutions both within our team and in our projects.

Redistributing Power. We believe true equity requires redistributing power. By centering local expertise and sharing decision-making, our partners, their communities, and our team members are positioned to use their innate agency to co-lead meaningfully.

Our commitment to DEIB is more than a set of values—it is a living framework guiding our decisions and actions—recognizing that our work individually and collectively has both direct and indirect effects.
